I miss the beach already. The rolling brown hills of The Inland Empire just can’t compete. Ahhh, but we’re home.
We woke a bit early this morning to eat brekky on the beach and take a little morning walk before heading out. Just after I set my meal on the table and walked inside to get Nick’s plate, a brave seagull swooped in and grabbed my muffin. Reminded me of a funny story involving Big Dog and a giant ribeye steak.
Anyway, we had to leave early in order to get to his wound consultation and hyperbaric chamber appointment. We have committed ourselves to a crazy schedule of appointments and therapy for the next eight days leading up to his final spine surgery. 8 days!! We will be driving to and from Orange County each day to do hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We will drive to Murrieta for physical therapy every other day. And we have three separate pre-op appointments in Riverside, on three separate days, with three separate doctors. We sweet talked the wound clinic into opening specially for Nick on Saturday and Sunday, due to our scheduling time crunch. The doctor prescribed ten sessions. Nick will get nine in before going back to the hospital. Wish we had heard of this sooner.
